Perfect Fried Dough or what we call “Mekici” in Bulgaria
This is one is very popular back home and we eat them for breakfast, yes you read that right! My kids are also obsessed with them and request them quite often! Often times we fill them up with eggs and feta before frying. You can top them with powdered sugar, honey, jam, cream cheese etc. My favorite way is sweet and savory- I go with feta and honey/strawberry jam!
